Confirmation Class Requirements

1 – Attend class each week. Prepare for class – do work assigned in notebooks and journals. Participate in class discussions. Pray throughout your journey.

2 – Attend Breakfast Club and/or Teen Group and worship services on a regular basis.

3 – Meet with your mentor on a regular basis especially the pre-scheduled meetings on the calendar.

4 – Participate in a least two (2) family worship services (2nd Sunday of the month, except December) and at least (2) service projects at the church during the school year. Possibilities include;

Family Worship
• Help with worship leadership once as liturgist or by teaching the Children’s Message
• Usher– contact the Worship or CE Committee
• Provide music with a solo or instrumental prelude or postlude

Service Project
• Help with the Deacon’s Spring Pasta Dinner
• Help with Fall- Clean Up at Church
• Help with Toy Drive
• Help with Clothing Drive
• Help with IHN, help staff with set up and/or make lunch or dinner meals
• Help with set up and clean up for Committee Nights
• Provide Child care for church programs
• Serve as a Greeter at Church Sunday morning

*All projects must be followed up with a note acknowledging your participation

5 – Attend the Confirmation Retreat at Camp Johnsonburg in March (6th-8th)

6 – Attend the Session dinner meeting on May 19th

7 - Write a Statement of Faith

8 – Participate in the Confirmation Worship Service on Pentecost Sunday, May 31st
