2009 Stewardship Pledge Campaign

Plans are underway for the 2009 Pledge campaign. This a time for reflection of God's abundant grace in our lives and to prayerfully consider our response. You can read more about the 2009 campaign by using the link under Hot Topics to the right.

Christian Education

October marks the beginning of our Adult Christian Education courses. The semester offerings will run for 10 weeks (approximately the second week of October until the second week of December).

In need of exercise? Develop a new spiritual walk by participating in the Wednesday Walking with God sessions beginning October 8th @ 9am at Minebrook Park. Join us in forming this walking group that will begin with a reading and close with sharing and prayer.

Interested in traveling? You are welcome to take a ten-week pilgrimage into the heart of prayer by participating in the “The Way of Prayer” spiritual formation group beginning Thursday October 9th from 7:00 -8:00pm in Room 22. In this small group we will explore the nature of prayer and a variety of its forms. Participants will discover the expressions of prayer that draw them closer to God and give them a deeper sense of spiritual vitality.

Do you like to quilt? Have you ever wanted to join a quilting bee? Join us for Sisters Sewing in Spirit on the 2nd and 4th Sunday afternoons at 3pm beginning October 12th.This quilting bee will be like no other. This quilting group is designed to facilitate devotion and discussion about ways to encourage and empower women in third world countries. Our own Heidi Synder, will coordinate our efforts and help those interested in learning to quilt and those who already know how to make a quilt.

We all agree that we will have a ground–breaking presidential election upon us, either way our country will make history with the first woman vice-president or the first African American president, we may not agree on who we want to win. However, no matter the side we're drawn, our faith challenges us to find common ground. Join us in a 4 session study of “Seeing Gray in a World of Black and White, Thoughts on Religion, Morality, and Politics,” beginning November 9th at 10:30. This study is designed to propose to people of faith a middle way between the left and the right and to model for our nation and for the church, how we can listen, learn, see truth as multi-sided, and love those with whom we disagree.

Holiday Parade Refreshments December 7th
